When you book your appointment, you will be asked some specific COVID-19 questions.

In our practice 

Following MOH guidelines we are limiting the number of people that can be in our practices. If you’re early for your appointment, or the practice is busy, you may be asked to wait outside or to come back at your booked time. There will be controlled entry and exit via one door.

You will be greeted by a team member who will check you in for your appointment, provide you with hand sanitiser and explain our safety protocols including maintaining a 1-metre social distance. You are encouraged to wear a mask. 

All our optometrists will be wearing masks. 

During our Optometrist consultation

We are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting equipment and exam rooms before each patient and using additional protective equipment. We are also limiting the number of people in our consulting rooms to just the optometrist and the patient. However, where a patient is supported by a carer, they may also be present in the consultation room if required.

Frame selection and dispense

Our team members clean the practice throughout the day, including glasses that are tried on by customers, to keep the practice clean and hygienic. All dispensing desks and equipment are cleaned between patients.

When you collect your order

When your glasses are ready for collection, the practice will contact you via phone or SMS. We have two options for you; contactless pick-up in-store during opening hours where your order will be prepacked and ready, or we can book you in for a 10-minute collection and fitting.

Advice for at-risk customers

If you have a heightened risk of COVID-19 we will follow the Ministry of Health guidelines and take extra precautions including a phone consultation with the optometrist prior to a face-to-face appointment.   

Patients with a heightened risk of COVID-19 include:

  • People over 70 years of age
  • Women who are pregnant
  • Those with a chronic health condition, such as:
    Serious respiratory disease such as chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
    Serious heart conditions
    Immunocompromised conditions
    Kidney or Liver disease

Do you have contactless direct to patient service for retail products?

Yes, we can arrange a delivery service directly to your home for contact lenses, lens solutions, dry eye care products, ocular nutrition products and eyewear. We will do this via courier services. Please contact the practice and we can arrange to send you what you need.

What do I do if my glasses need repairing?

Please contact the practice and we can arrange to have them repaired or replaced.
